Business Students Unite

Join the Accounting Society, ALPFA, Beta Alpha Psi, Golden Key, HBS, Toastmasters, and other business clubs for a night of fun! This is a social event hosted by ALPFA that provides a fun opportunity for business students to interact with each other and network. There will be lots of food, games, prizes and fun, so come out and join us!
 
Activities include, but  are not limited to:
Pool tournament
Karaoke
Table tennis (a.k.a ping pong)
Video games
(and if allowed, Kinect to the XBox, Dance Central Dance Off)

*Members: This event will count as an outside event for membership requirements.

CalCPA- February 29, 2012

Come and join us on Wednesday, to welcome David Lo from CalCPA. David will provide us with information about the scholarship that the Los Angeles chapter is currently accepting from LA area accounting students, and the benefits of being a member of CalCPA.
 
 The scholarship application is available on the LA chapter website at www.blogs.calcpa.org/la
** The applications need to be postmarked by April 6, 2012.

Chinese American Museum

AS will be participating at a community service event at the Chinese American Museum on Saturday, March 3.  The Museum is having a Lantern Festival that will feature a variety of arts and crafts workshops, book signings, stage performances, and Year of the Dragon-inspired activites. Volunteers will help with the Lantern Festival by working in various positions and booths. Positions include:
  • Hospitality: Organize and mantain food & drinks
  • Stage Management: Assist with the set up and take down of props
  • Program Runner: Distribution of programs & surveys to event-goers
  • Booth Counters: Track/record booth visitors 
  • Arts and Crafts: Assist artists/instructors in activity booths
  • Information Booths: Assist at registration tables
  • Clean up: Break down booth and venue decorations & area clean-up

Date: Saturday, March 3, 2012
Time: Shift 1: 1-5pm
          Shift 2: 5-8pm(includes clean up)
*Due to limited parking at the museum, volunteers will be meeting up with their assigned carpool at the school.
